Time to Party!!!!!
Mommy's family has a tradition that involves having the birthday girl pull money out of a jar filled with lots of it. Here are some pictures and videos of the girls pulling money out. Can you guess who pulled the dollar?
Daddy's family has a tradition that involves the birthday girl picking from a silver dollar, rosary, or shot glass on their first birthday. Depending on what each girl picks, it has a meaning for how they may live their life. We are sure you would know what the silver dollar means, but in case you don't it means they have wealth/money in their future. The rosary means that she will live a holy life and the shot glass means they will be a drinker or a drunk as many would put it. Can you guess what Alexis and Riley picked? Read on to see if you guessed correctly.
Alexis chose the silver dollar, but couldn't pick it up so she moved on to the shot glass. So, does this mean that Alexis will be easily fustrated and will move on to the drink?
Riley chose the rosary. We are not sure yet if we believe that. Well, we'll just have to find out when they get older.
Time for cake! The girls didn't really like getting their fingers all messy. We wish they always were like that - especially when feeding them vegetables.
Time for the gifts! Here are some pictures of them opening their presents.
Only mommy's left! Where are the girls?! They were getting tired and were off playing with all the toys. Go figure! We bet you never would have guessed that.
Nathan taking off in the Ride-On toy...in the box still.
Here are some pictures of the girls enjoying their toys.
