Easter came with mixed feelings this year. As usual, mommy and daddy were very excited just to celebrate with the girls. However, Riley ran her first fever the night before. Riley was such a trooper. Based on her actions, it was impossible to tell that she was not feeling good. It was daddy who kissed her good night and realized she felt much warmer than she should have. She was running a 102 degree fever. Riley was playing, smiling and laughing like she always does. It took a few days for the temperature to break for the last time and the congestion went away a couple weeks later after a couple doctor visits. Riley didn't think she would see the sick room so early!
Easter wouldn't be exciting without coloring eggs...right? Daddy did have a blast coloring eggs with the girls!
...even though the eggs were almost the same color.
